Celebrate your “I do” on the riverfront. The Weyside awaits, nestled on a peaceful bend of the river Wey just a short distance from Guildford’s famous cobbled High Street. We are a 4-minute drive from the register office and a couple of minute walk from St Mary’s Church, making the Weyside the perfect spot for a pub wedding.

We have gorgeous bookable spaces to choose from, both indoor and outdoor, each bursting with a picture perfect charm to make your special day truly unique. Our event planner Celine and her amazing team will be with you every step of the way, making sure the process is smooth and stress-free. Our talented head chef Nat has designed menus bursting with flavours using fresh and seasonal ingredients with creative twists on your favourite pub classics. Our wine list has a selection of carefully curated wines complementing your meal perfectly.

We had a delicious meal after our marriage ceremony. We were welcomed and looked after. A special thanks to the manager and Celine who helped with all the planning. She is meticulous and as pinickety as I was, she was totally unfazed! We can’t wait to come back as regulars. The prawn starter was a particular hit! Thank you to the staff on the night for helping with decorations and regularly checking in yet giving us our privacy. All the little touches were noticed and the evening went off without a hitch. Frequently Asked Questions

Can we decorate the pub?

Yes, that’s no problem at all. Please be aware that we do not allow confetti (should confetti be used, we reserve the right to charge a £50 cleaning fee).

Can we bring a cake?

Yes, you can. We will provide plates, cutlery and napkins. But please let us know if you do bring a cake.

Can we use an external caterer?

No, however our Head Chef Nat has created the ideal seasonal menus for your wedding.

Can we play my own music?

You can play music in the barn (including hiring a DJ, or live band…) in the barn only.

Should you want to play your own music, you would need to provide your own music system including speakers. Our outside spaces will play the music pub.

Is there access to a TV?

You can also use our wall mounted TV for presentations or to project photos or videos . You would need to bring a HDMI cable for the connection.

Can we set up a bar tab?

Yes of course, you can set up a tab on the day using our ON TAP app (our team can help you with that if necessary). Please note that we are no longer able to “put” a card behind the bar.

Can we have exclusive hire of the pub?

We don’t do exclusive hire of the pub (as we want everyone to enjoy our beautiful pub) but we do offer private hire spaces which will be for your guests only.
